The conference will address these very challenges that are directly related to students’ lives and offers an opportunity to develop life-long friendships based on our commitment for kosen-rufu.
What is the focus of this conference?
Being a student is a unique and limited time in our lives as youth. As students, we face many challenges: How do we do well in school, while striving in SGI activities and engaging in other activities like work? How can we courageously introduce our friends to this Buddhism amid our busy schedule? Why do we talk about nuclear abolition? What is our unique mission? The conference will address these very challenges that are directly related to students’ lives and offers an opportunity to develop life-long friendships based on our commitment for kosen-rufu.
In the Young Eagles chapter of the New Human Revolution Vol. 6, President Ikeda shares his great expectation for the student division as follows: "All the youth division members are Bodhisattvas of the Earth who have a mission to shape a new age. But you, the student division members, who will have undergone academic training before setting out into society, have an especially important role to play as leaders of the intellectual world. I hope you will become the new backbone of the Soka Gakkai, great leaders in every field in Japan, men and women of outstanding ability who will contribute greatly to the world." Join us August 16-19 at the FNCC to create significant momentum in your life toward November 18, 2013 and beyond!
