Family & Future Division Conference #2

Jul 25, 2014 - Jul 28, 2014

Jul 25 - Jul 28

What is the focus of this conference?

This conference provides families the special opportunity to experience and enjoy the power of Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism together as a family.

President Ikeda writes: "Children are precious treasures of the future. All children have the right to happiness. No child is without his or her precious mission. Parents are challenging themselves every day to raise their children, and their work is truly praiseworthy. To them I offer my utmost support. The twenty-first century must become an era for all parents and children to walk the great path of happiness."

This year, the Family Conference theme will be “Building Harmonious Families.”

Who should apply to this conference?

  • This conference is primarily geared towards Elementary School-aged children and their families. If there are both Elementary School-aged children and Jr. High/High School members in the family, the Jr. High/High School members are highly encouraged to attend the Jr. High & High School conference (held at Soka University of America). However, in some cases, 7th and 8th graders may prefer to join their family for the Family Conference, and are more than welcome to attend. Family Conference programs and activities are being specifically designed for this age group as well.

(NOTE: FOR YOUTH AGES 5-12 YEARS OLD, PLEASE REGISTER DIRECTLY THROUGH YOUR LOCAL ZONE/TERRITORY OFFICE.)
