Culture Department conference attendees can look forward to: Expanding, deepening and learning how to better apply and understand Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism and President Ikeda's guidance into their daily lives personally, professionally and/or organizationally. Learning how to unite with the line organization to support SGI-USA goals toward 2013. Becoming familiar with the mission and guiding principles of Culture Department members. Engaging in meaningful and joyful dialogue. Refreshing and revitalizing their practice to better fulfill their unique mission.

What is the focus of this conference?

The theme of the conference will be, "Toward 2030: Let's Advance with Sensei Brimming with Faith, Hope and Intellect."

Culture Department Mission:

  • Expanding, deepening and learning how to better apply and understand Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism and President Ikeda's guidance into their daily lives personally, professionally and/or organizationally.

Conference Activities:

  • Gosho lecture and encouragement by SGI-USA Women’s Leader, Linda Johnson
  • Dialogue Breakout Sessions
  • Viewing of the film “Traveler for Peace” as well as the Oneness of Mentor and Disciple exhibits
  • Faith experiences from members working in each field

Please make plans to attend and invite and/or encourage a youthful Culture Department member to attend.

  • This conference is open to all members, especially those working in the fields of Academia (College and University), Education (K-12), Healing Arts and Law.
