Building Rainbow Bridges of Peace and Coexistence!

Oct 06 - Oct 09

What is the focus of this conference?

From Sensei's New Year's message:

Bodhisattva Never Disparaging, who appears in the Lotus Sutra, believed in the infinitely noble potential—the Buddha nature—inherent in all people, addressing everyone he met with the utmost deference and respect. Even when arrogant individuals reacted negatively and attacked him, he refused to abandon his efforts. He continued to press ahead cheerfully, with wisdom and persistence, reaching out in dialogue based on his unwavering conviction and commitment.

Today, many are concerned by what they perceive as the growing danger of division around the world. For that very reason, let’s work even harder to reach out in dialogue based on respect for others, transcending all differences. Through dialogue that seeks to unite people as global citizens—which is the hallmark of the SGI—let us build rainbow bridges of peace and coexistence that will adorn the future of our world.

To contribute to the 50K Campaign, exactly as we are, the LGBTQ Courageous Freedom Group vows to continuously develop our youthful spirit. The conference will be structured around the three defining features of a youthful spirit:
1) spirit of challenge
2) spirit of learning, and the
3) spirit of open dialogue.
